JUUL’s on the ropes—and we’re just getting started.
In the last few weeks, the embattled e-cigarette company has cut 16% of its workforce and its valuation continues to drop, leading tobacco giant Altria to write down its JUUL investment by more than a third.
In that same period, PAVe’s volunteer advocates have been busy doing the following:
- Testifying in two Congressional subcommittees on the same day (Appropriations and Energy & Commerce). Watch >
- Speaking at and attending public hearings and rallies in Boston; Albany; New York City; Atlanta; Los Angeles and Trenton.
- Presenting to parents about the dangers of JUUL and other flavored e-cigarettes at schools in Washington, D.C.; New York City; Boston; and Chicago.
- Working with our remarkable coalition partners in San Francisco to crush Proposition C, a JUUL-funded ballot initiative (to the tune of $18 million!) that was overwhelmingly defeated on Election Day.
