John,
On February 8th, the House of Representatives passed The Postal Service
Reform Act by a vote 342 - 92.
Now, this crucial legislation will head to the Senate where 14 Republican
Senators have co-sponsored the bill, giving it a real shot at being
enacted into law.
It’s time for the Senate to save the USPS, they just need to hear from
you.

Last year DFA members joined numerous partners as we pushed Congress to
repeal the requirement that the USPS annually prepay future retiree health
benefits, a requirement imposed since 2007 that has caused the agency to
have over $40 billion in deficits.
The hard work of DFA members has now made it highly likely that the
financial integrity of the United States Postal Service will be restored
along with numerous additional benefits.
The Postal Service Reform Act would:
* Reduce the Postal Service’s annual operating expenses by eliminating
the Republican mandated pre-funding schedule
* Move some USPS retirees on to Medicare, thus further reducing the
financial burden of retiree health care costs
* Allow the USPS to offer non-postal services to generate other streams
of revenue
To Save the USPS, the Senate must take action.

Even with a Democratic President, Congress, and Senate, Joe Manchin and
Kyrsten Sinema stop us from getting much done.
The good news is that we only need to flip 3 Senate seats to take power
away from Manchin and our Senate candidates in Wisconsin, North Carolina,
Pennsylvania, and Kentucky are ready to do just that.
