Hey, friend – it’s Max the Dog here.

As I’m sure you’re fur-miliar, building a movement for real progressive change is a team effort. My dad John has been working so hard to grow our campaign and share his vision for a more just Maryland, and I’ve been trying my dog-gone hardest to keep up. 

That’s why today, I’m so excited to introduce you to the newest (and furriest) members of Team King: Barkley and Loki Siri!

When John told me that Michelle was joining the ticket as his running mate, I barked for joy with excitement. So when I found out her dogs would be joining our pack too, I nearly howled at the moon because I was so thrilled. I’m wagging my tail just thinking about all the canvassing walks and parades that we’ll enjoy together!

But first, we need to get down to business. I’ve overheard John saying it’s been a slow month for fundraising so my new friends and I want to be sure we make up the gap and don’t fall behind. John and Michelle’s February fundraising deadline is one week from today and after confur-ing with my new teammates Barkley and Loki, we set a goal to raise $28,000 by next Monday. Can my new friends and I count on you to show your support for John and Michelle today by contributing towards their end-of-month goal?

I’m so excited that our pack is growing and that more supporters – human and pets alike–  are joining us to bring real change to Maryland. But enacting change takes resources, and unfortunately, old tennis balls just won’t cut it. That’s why my new friends and I are asking you: will you please pitch in whatever you can before our February deadline?

Barkley, Loki, and I have some important squirrel chasing to get back to, but we’ll see you next time!
