Hey John,

Last night, the NY Post put out a hit piece on my candidacy and our campaign - essentially trying to shame me for openly admitting to my life experiences such as struggling with student debt, having an abortion, working as a stripper, and surviving sexual assault.
They also tried to blast our campaign for offering policing alternatives in a district like PA-03 which has a long and storied history with police brutality. Based on the tone of the entire article, compassion is a stranger to right wing media whereas misogyny appears to be their best friend. But ultimately, this article wound up being a swing and a miss.

The most striking thing of all is that interwoven into this article about my life experiences and platform was our campaign's various merchandise items. This "hit piece" quickly became a walking ad for our merchandise. We've now sold over $30,000 in merchandise with close to 400 "Elect Hoes" sweatshirts (our best selling item). On top of that, support has been pouring in from other outlets - we've raised over $20,000 on ActBlue, have 1,000 new donors, signed up a bunch of new volunteers, and have in district voters reaching out to say they have our campaign's back. Our social media accounts have been swelling - Twitter has doubled by ten thousand new followers and Instagram and TikTok have increased by the thousands.

The NY Post made a weak attempt at trying to shame us into the shadows. Their hatred will only make us run harder.

In solidarity,
