Our experts break it down for you

Dear John,

Have you heard from our experts? The National Committee’s policy experts are featured regularly on local radio programs to help answer questions by retirees and those nearing retirement about their Social Security benefits.

Among our team of experts is Senior Policy Analyst Webster Phillips, of the Ask Web fame, who also serves as a liaison with members of Congress. Web worked with the Social Security Administration for 31 years and is always excited to share his extensive knowledge of the Social Security program with listeners. Hear from Web as he talks about how to avoid making mistakes claiming Social Security.

As you know, Social Security is a complex puzzle with lots of different pieces. There are many aspects of Social Security, not just the how and when to file for benefits, but what’s happening with Cost-of-Living Adjustments (COLAs), why some in Congress would like to privatize Social Security and what the program’s long term solvency outlook is to name a few.

The National Committee’s team of experts has decades of administrative and policy experience in dealing with the political, economic and legislative aspects of the Social Security program. When you need someone to explain, “What does this really mean?” the National Committee can break it down in ways you will understand.

Right now, with the future of Social Security at stake, it’s critical that older Americans like you know where you can go for trusted information on the current state of Social Security. And with so much at stake in the weeks and months ahead, we’ll be counting on you to remain informed and engaged in the ongoing fight to protect and strengthen Social Security benefits.

Sincerely,

Max Richtman
President & CEO
