Defense companies gave big to Congressional Democrats and Biden in 2020 and now these corporations are counting on corporate Democrats to champion their interests.

Justice Democrats

John,

Reuters reports that President Biden will ask Congress for a defense budget exceeding $770 billion for the next fiscal year, citing the need to “modernize the military.” Sources suggest that the figure could actually exceed $800 billion, $50 billion more than Trump’s last defense budget.

“Modernize the military” will mean padding the pockets of defense contractors like Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and their shareholders. Defense companies gave big to Congressional Democrats and Biden in 2020 and now these corporations are counting on corporate Democrats to champion their interests.

We won’t take a cent from defense companies and are working to elect candidates who will fight for the people — not the military-industrial complex. Support our work today with a $3 contribution. Going up against massive defense companies won’t be easy, but Justice Democrats are always ready for a fight.

Contribute $3

When asked during his campaign if he would support Medicare For All, Joe Biden said no. He said “you got to look at the cost”. But when it comes to increasing an already inflated military budget, there is no limit.

We’ve seen it before. The same politicians who dismiss Medicare for All, and other social programs as “too expensive” champion a bloated defense budget, including kickbacks to defense, aerospace, and technology companies.

Congress needs to spend less on war and more funding our progressive priorities to meet the nation’s needs at home. Will you contribute $3 to stand with the Squad, and the other JDs in Congress, in opposition of this outrageous military spending?

Contribute

In solidarity,

Justice Democrats
