We need your help to protect public education.
Friend,
It’s Public Schools Week, which means it’s time to come together to celebrate the importance of public education! Open and nondiscriminatory in their acceptance of all students, public schools are a unifying force in our diverse society. We’re proud of our public schools and their goal of helping all students learn and grow.
One important way to defend public education is to fight against private school voucher programs. Vouchers undermine public schools by draining their funding to pay for private, religious schools—many of which ignore civil rights laws, turn away students they disapprove of, and lack any standards for their curriculum.
This Public Schools Week, we need your help: Urge your state legislators to reject private school vouchers and support public schools!

All across the country, state legislators have been touting private school voucher programs even though 9 out of 10 students attend public schools. For many state legislators and governors, diverting public money to private schools—especially private religious schools—is their top education priority.
This is no way to solve the many challenges that students and teachers are bravely facing during this pandemic. We would better serve all kids by using funds to make public schools stronger instead of funneling money into voucher programs.
Friend, we’re fighting back, but we need your help! Your state legislators need to hear from you.
Act now to tell your state legislators that they should protect public education by rejecting private school voucher bills! [link removed]
Public funds belong in public schools. This Public Schools Week, thanks for raising your voice to protect public education!
