On this Presidents Day, we honor and recognize all those who have dedicated their lives to serving in our nation’s highest office.

But, once again, we are reminded that no woman has ever served as our country’s top leader. And while we’ve made progress, finally electing the first woman Vice President in 2020, we have yet to break the last glass ceiling.

Here at Ruth’s List, we know how important it is to have women leading at all levels of government. It’s why we are committed to electing Democratic pro-choice women across Florida — from governor to state legislature to school board. We’re proud that our alumni and endorsed candidates are determined leaders who are paving the way for progress, making it easier for future generations of women to succeed.

Furthermore, we know that having women in positions of power is crucial to protecting issues we care about deeply, like reproductive freedom and abortion access.
