Hi John,

Today is Presidents’ Day, and we want to talk with you about the FUTURE presidents. The FEMALE presidents who, we believe, have been waiting far too long for their turn to lead.

As we honor some of the greatest past leaders of our nation, we also want to reimagine Presidents’ Day as an opportunity for reflection. It’s been 233 years since George Washington was first inaugurated into office. In all those years, our country has never elected a woman as president. Her Bold Move is on a mission to shatter glass ceilings – and we have our sights set on the highest, hardest glass ceiling: the one in the Oval Office.

70 countries have had female heads of state or presidents - and to the detriment of America, we are falling BEHIND. If we traveled the globe, we’d find that states and countries led by women are thriving.

Take COVID responses, for example: evidence has shown that COVID fatality rates were lower in countries with female leaders and states with female governors. According to the American Psychological Association, women leaders issued stay-at-home orders earlier and more successfully than their male counterparts. They were also shown to have exhibited more empathy for their constituents’ fears and concerns. Women are proven strong leaders, so why are American female presidents missing from our history books?

Our team has worked with female candidates from every corner of the country – and we've seen the challenges and disturbing realities women face when they enter politics in this country. On a daily basis, we see how female candidates deal with misogyny, double standards, sexism, and an onslaught of violent and sexual threats.

It’s harder to run for office as a woman – and it’s nearly impossible to combat the deep-seated sexism that has left countless glass ceilings intact for far too long.

We have a chance to make the US a better country, for ALL, by electing pro-choice, progressive, strong women into positions of power – and that includes the most powerful position of them all. We can only do it with your help. This Presidents' Day, help us reach our goal of raising $4,700 to ensure we’re on the right track this election cycle. We’re working with some of the most phenomenal female leaders and building the bench to get us closer to electing our first EVER woman president. Are you in?
