John,
At The Trust for Public Land, we believe creating parks and protecting public land can make a huge difference in changing our world — and so can you!
With your support during our extended Membership Drive today, you bring us closer to accomplishing our most ambitious plan ever for the protection of our natural world. Please join The Trust for Public Land today — your generosity today helps ensure our public lands for generations to come.
With your support, we can permanently protect one million acres of land, preserve 1,000 miles of rivers, and build or connect 1,000 miles of trails across the nation by 2025. And in 2021, we have taken important steps to making this a reality, such as:
- Adding 2,015 acres to a community forest in the Downeast Lakes region of Maine, giving residents in nearby Bangor easier access to the great outdoors. Your support is instrumental in giving communities across the country the chance to experience nature.
- Protecting the Alakoko Fishpond in Kaua’i, Hawai’i, a 600-year-old fishpond that’s one of the most significant examples of early aquaculture in Kaua’i and holds great cultural and historical significance.
- Parks, such as our renovation of Cook Park in Atlanta, Georgia, can be used to counter the devastating effects of climate change. Community members now have the chance to play, exercise, and enjoy nature next to a two-acre retention pond which addresses years of disastrous flooding in the area.
John, I know how committed you are to protecting our public lands, which is why I hope you will join The Trust for Public Land today. Your support means the world to us.
Sincerely,
Barry Hirsch
Director of Membership
