John -- When we founded Brand New Congress in 2016, we set out to build a powerful, connected community of candidates and organizers to help get good, working people elected to Congress. We have worked from day one to foster deep relationships among our candidates, to create a network of support where they can lean on one another when the campaign – or legislating – gets rough.
We build collaborative relationships across campaign teams so we can all learn from each other and level up our efforts. And it’s paying off.
Time and again our candidates turn up to support one another – just like this weekend in Las Vegas. BNC Rep. Cori Bush – the first candidate we ever supported – and Senator Nina Turner came out to Nevada to support their sister in the movement, Amy Vilela.

Amy is one of the original BNC candidates. We were moved by her powerful story and threw our efforts behind her 2018 campaign early. When she announced she was running again in 2022, we immediately jumped on board.
We wish every candidate could win on their first try the way AOC did, but that’s not how it works for most progressive candidates. That’s why we invest in the long-term work of building a movement that can sustain these grassroots campaigns.
The best way you can support this vital work is with a monthly recurring contribution. Even $5 or $10 a month can make an impact. Will you become a sustaining supporter, John? |
