INSPIRING HOPE THROUGH TRANSFORMATION
“The only similarity between the racism that I experienced in prison and the racism that I experienced on the streets was the level of sadness that it brought me.”
Kevin Bruno was just a child when he first encountered racism. It wasn't until his incarceration as an adult, however, that Kevin was able to confront how racism had made him a victim and had led him to victimize others.
In our video, The Deep Divide of Racism, Kevin shares how racism, ignorance, and a lack of compassion can contribute to a violent culture behind bars. Recalling his own experiences, Kevin says that racism "was palpable in prison. It was thick in prison."
Men and women in prison are looking for hope. And nothing provides hope like the living Word of God. The demand for Bibles and Christian content is at an all-time high. Will you help us meet the need? Please give generously today.
