When I think back on 2020, I remember how:
Our cities burned.
Our families were scared, even in their own homes.
Violent crime surged across our communities across America. Nowhere was save.
When our cities needed real leadership, no one showed up. Democrats let rioters roam free without threat of reprisal; looters were allowed to pillage without consequence.
And now in 2021, hard-working Americans and their families are at a crossroads … again.
Despite the numerous campaigns promises to serve the people's interests and to not raise taxes, Democrats in Congress --including the one I lost to last year by 9,580 votes in one of the closest races in the nation – and President Biden only sought to protect their own political interests with increased government spending, and already proposing massive tax increases on the middle class and American families.
The talk of unity and working together is long forgotten. The American people and those of the District deserve better leadership and vision.
In 2020, I ran for Congress to fight for America’s future and preserve the American dream for my children. It's the future prosperity of our children and future generations of Americans that's at stake in 2022. I lost by less than 10,000 votes.
