This is the longest email I’ll ever send you, so I hope you’ll read the
whole thing.

I want to share our game plan for flipping Ohio’s open Senate seat
blue—when you’re running in a swing state that Trump won, you can’t leave
anything to chance.

That’s why I have to ask: [ [link removed] ]Will you make a $28 donation to help us on
the road to victory to flip Ohio blue and expand our Democratic Senate
majority?

[ [link removed] ]Chip in

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step One: Talk to Folks in Every Corner of Ohio

Working class Ohioans, in our big cities and our small towns, know what
it’s like to be left out and left behind. I won’t be that kind of Senator.

We kicked off this campaign by launching a Workers First Tour. Since then,
we’ve been traveling all over Ohio—visiting union halls, factories,
restaurants, and even a few bars—to hear from folks about the challenges
they’re facing.

The truth is, a lot of people don’t trust politicians, and they have every
reason to be skeptical. The only way to break through that is to look
someone in the eye, shake their hand, and let them see that you don’t have
eight heads.

The opposition might be spending millions of dollars on attack ads, but
your donations allow me to do what matters—show up and meet folks
face-to-face.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step Two: Stand Up to Special Interests and Put Workers First

I’ve made more than a few headlines for getting loud (okay, outright
yelling) on the House floor, because when it comes to speaking up for the
hardworking people out there busting their rear ends every day, I’ll never
hold my tongue.

Whether it’s China, Big Pharma, a corporate giant trying to ship jobs
overseas, or a member of my own party—I’m not afraid to take on anyone who
tries to leave our workers high and dry.

If that puts a target on my back, so be it.

My opponents can rely on the steady support of dark-money groups, but I’m
proud to run a campaign that’s powered by grassroots supporters like
you—not right-wing special interests and tech billionaires.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step Three: Focus On The Issues That Matter

The vast majority of Americans are working harder and longer, making less,
and falling further behind. CEOs are getting golden parachutes, while our
seniors are cutting pills in half because they can’t afford their
medications.

You wouldn’t know it from listening to my GOP opponents though—all they do
is yell about the culture war du jour. We’re not going to flip Ohio blue
and expand our Democratic majority by starting fights over Big Bird and
Dr. Seuss—we need to stay focused on the issues that matter.

It doesn’t matter if I’m talking to a Democrat, Independent, or
Republican—I’m talking about jobs and wages. I’m talking about making Ohio
a manufacturing powerhouse. Lowering the cost of prescription drugs.
Expanding broadband access. Making sure our kids get a good education.

Republicans are trying to make this race about anger, division, and fear
because they know that when it comes down to the issues that actually make
a difference for working families, they’ll lose every time.

That’s why my team has to send you emails like this one—so we’ll have the
resources to get our message out over all this GOP nonsense.

I’m giving this race everything I’ve got, but I can’t win this thing
alone. [ [link removed] ]I’m personally asking you to rush a donation of $28 so we can
carry out our campaign strategy, flip Ohio blue, and finally cut workers
in on the deal.
