Dear Friend,
Nearly 40 years ago, I was welcomed to the U.S. as a refugee and given the opportunity to work hard, build a new life, and contribute to my community. I saw this country's true values in action: Compassion. Hope. Equality. Opportunity.
Yet I do not see these values in the many, many anti-immigration policies coming out of the current administration. From the "Muslim Ban" to family separation to historically-low refugee admissions, one policy after another says, "Go away." "We do not care." and "Your problems are not ours." (Click here to see a timeline of anti-immigrant actions and policies this year. It's pretty shocking.)

It's been a tough year, but like the refugees and immigrants who have come to our shores throughout history, we are resilient and we will persevere. With your support, we will continue helping immigrants train for jobs, learn English, start businesses, and go to school, in communities across the U.S. that welcome them.

Please make a generous donation today. Your gift can transform the life of a recently-arrived refugee family or a child who crossed the border alone, scared, and many miles from home.
We can't do this important work without you by our side. Thank you for making a gift to USCRI today.
With gratitude,

Eskinder Negash
President and CEO
