Dear John,

We’re THRILLED to return with a new podcast season of _Stories from Home:
__Moving the __Just Transition_, that grounds us in the history of climate
justice and in present day Just Transition organizing, releasing in full in
April 2022.

Each episode will deep dive into different dimensions of the movement –
from the importance of community controlled climate solutions, to what is a
false solution, to art and organizing, to how we relate to one another in
just relationship and just what is energy democracy anyway? Our host Keenan
Rhodes, along with climate justice leaders, will serve as our guides and
teachers. IN THIS FIRST EPISODE, “THE ROOTS OF CLIMATE JUSTICE,”
[3] WE TRAVEL FROM INDIANAPOLIS, TO PUERTO RICO, NORTH CAROLINA TO
MISSISSIPPI, CALIFORNIA AND Beyond. [3]

We’ll walk through the formation of climate justice, from slavery to
environmental racism and environmental justice, to economic freedom and
energy democracy, with our guides Elizabeth Yeampierre, Kali Akuno, and
Inkza Angeles who show us the ways in which they live and embody a
relationship with land and with community that sets an example for the rest
of us.

Last season, we shared stories of local community solutions based in Just
Transition expressed through multimedia art projects called “Story
Snapshots [4].” This season takes us back to basics, with 15+ interviews
and remaining episodes to be released in April 2022 for Earth Day.

_Stories from Home, Moving the Just Transition_ is produced by Keenan
Rhodes, Jessica Xiao, and Olivia Burlingame with audio editing, music
production and sound effects by Elijah Pouges. We’re thrilled to
incorporate music by Monica Atkins aka Surreal, co-executive director of
the Climate Justice Alliance, in our podcast series this season. The intro
track and some sound accents are from the song “Love, Black, Warrior.”
