A federal judge has restored protections for gray wolves in much of the country!
The ruling reverses the Trump administration decision that removed Endangered Species Act protections for the wolves and led to their near extinction because of aggressive hunting.
During the Trump administration, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service took the gray wolves off the endangered list, rationalizing the decision by claiming the wolves were nuisances. The federal agency handed population control to the states.

John, while we celebrate this monumental decision and victory, the sad reality is that the damage has already been done to the gray wolves population because of the Trump administration’s despicable action. And we’re still waiting for more states to update their laws in reflection of this court decision.
