As you know, President Biden dropped by our district this week. He praised Marcy’s advocacy for our magnificent Great Lakes.
The president mentioned a letter Marcy wrote him, urging him to help revitalize our Great Lakes and bolster the regional economy. He kept the letter, and he kept his promise: the federal government will create jobs and improve Great Lakes water quality by investing $1 billion from the bi-partisan infrastructure law recently passed by Congress.
Marcy is so passionate about our district and the Great Lakes’ economy, she brought in the White House to fund these major infrastructure investments. We need to keep her in Congress bringing federal dollars to our shores, so we started a fund to defend her against an onslaught of partisan Trump and Republican hits. We need to raise $3000 by Tuesday night. Will you chip in $10 to help us get started?
This project is the largest undertaking in our region in over seven decades, and Marcy helped to make it happen. President Biden said for every dollar spent to renew the Great Lakes, the region will see a three to four dollar return on investment.
We like those numbers, and we’re so proud of Marcy for getting this done. Real investments in jobs and the health of our families, and our Great Lakes are exactly what we stand to lose if we stand by and let the GOP take back the House this year.
