John, today is Mitch McConnell’s birthday, and we're glad he's spending another year without his vice grip on the Senate, but his deadly legacy remains. This is the man who single handedly stopped life-saving gun violence prevention legislation from being passed year after year and I think he deserves a special celebration.
In honor of Mitch's first birthday without his Senate power, all of us at Brady are planning a birthday surprise he'll never forget. We're setting an ambitious goal to raise $10,000 to "celebrate" Mitch's birthday — money that will go directly toward undoing Mitch's NRA-approved legacy of bloody inaction on gun violence.
In (dis)honor of Mitch's birthday, will you rush a donation of $5 or more to Brady right now? Every dollar helps us save lives from gun violence.

Mitch has received plenty of birthday presents from his friends at the NRA over the years: more than $1.2 million in campaign contributions over the course of his career. $1.2 million that bought nearly a decade of malicious inaction, directly contributing to countless deaths from gun violence.
So today, let's send Mitch a gift and break his legacy of inaction on the part of politicians bought-and-paid-for by the NRA. With this $10,000, we'll fight to pass the common-sense gun safety laws that Mitch has been dreading. But we're still falling $2,314 short of this ambitious goal, and there's no way we'll meet it unless you get in on this birthday surprise:
Rush a birthday gift to Brady in Mitch McConnell's name. Together, we can undo his NRA-backed agenda and save lives from gun violence.
