Dear Davis County Republican,
Please join us as we celebrate American freedom and opportunity at the Davis County Republican Party’s Annual Lincoln Day Dinner on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the Davis Conference Center in Layton from 6-9 pm.
We are delighted to hear from our Keynote speaker Sgt. 1st Class John Wayne Walding (Ret.) who will share his experiences in the Battle of Shok Valley, Afghanistan in April of 2008. Under heavy fire from more than 250 Taliban fighters, John Wayne was hit by enemy sniper fire in the upper thigh and continued fighting for hours until he became unconscious and was evacuated to a hospital in Germany where he woke up as an amputee. He has been able to accomplish incredible feats since then and lives each day of his life to the fullest. His story is one of inspiration and hope. Please see this video for more about Sgt. Walding and the details of our Lincoln Day Dinner:
