John – we agree with Lt. Governor Flanagan. Sen. Gazelka’s views are extreme, dangerous, and deeply out of step with our values as Minnesotans. If you can, please chip in to help us make sure he never comes anywhere near the Governor’s office. – Team Walz Sorry to bother you on a Friday evening, John. But I just read today’s Heartland Signal piece on our GOP opponent Sen. Paul Gazelka and needed to share my thoughts. The piece covers a newly resurfaced book Sen. Gazelka wrote before running for office in which he argues that a wife should offer “submission to her husband” and that a woman who does not properly submit will “reap what she sows.” John, let’s call this what it is: An argument for maintaining a harmful, backward culture of misogyny and silencing women. It’s no accident that Gazelka also happens to be staunchly anti-choice and has a record of opposing equal pay, the Women's Economic Security Act, and paid family medical leave. With three Trump-appointed justices on the Supreme Court, women’s rights are on the ballot more than ever this November. Holding the Governor’s office is our last defense.
