Friend, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to the hundreds of grassroots supporters who have stepped up to become Founding Election Year Donors.

While I am so thankful for the support I have received, there is a slight issue. I am still 164 donors short of my goal, and my finance team tells me I must hit this target before midnight tonight, or there will be serious repercussions.

It's February of the election year after all, Friend, and these fundraising goals matter more than ever. If we lose even one Senate seat in November, Republicans will regain Senate control for Mitch McConnell – and we just can't let that happen.

I can't afford to cut anything from my campaign budget, especially not now that the GOP is targeting this seat. National Republicans have millions of dollars at their disposal, which they will use to bolster my Trump-loyalist opponents who want to remove me from office for daring to hold the disgraced former president accountable.

If we fail to raise enough resources now, we could let Republicans take this seat and regain Senate control, stopping our Democratic agenda in its tracks.

That's why I had to reach out to you again, Friend. I know you're concerned about protecting our Senate control, so I hope you take this as seriously as I do: Can I count on you to become a Founding Election Year Donor today by donating $5 or whatever you can spare? Even a few dollars will help me protect our Senate majority.
