2019 has been a busy year for our staff and volunteers in the field. In addition to our ongoing work around the world, our teams also responded to devastating disasters like Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas and Cyclone Idai in Mozambique, and helped meet the emergency medical needs of Venezuelans in Colombia. Together, we’ve shown what HOPE can do for people in crisis.
Your support allows our teams to respond quickly to emergency threats. When Hurricane Dorian tore through the Bahamas in September, Project HOPE was on the ground mobilizing emergency response efforts within 48 hours – providing hygiene kits, medications, and other essential supplies, and bringing volunteer doctors, nurses, and pharmacists to the severely damaged areas.
