Friend, a World War II refugee born in Poland, my father came to the United States when he was just 4 years old.

My father committed his life to service to others. He taught me important lessons I've carried for my entire life, like those of service and the value of education. That's why he got a Regents Scholarship to Columbia University and joined the U.S. Navy ane became an aviator. My father's story is one of hard work and determination – and of human resilience in the face of incredible cruelty and violence.

In the House, I carry this spirit with me every day – so as the first Democrat in Chester County to hold a national seat in more than 163 years, I'm not about to let the GOP replace me with a dangerous, conspiracy-theory-spouting extremist. But if I'm honest, things aren't looking good ahead of the 2022 midterms. Here's where we stand:

FIRST: The GOP named me one of their targets, effectively pinning a target on my back and naming this battleground seat one of 10 to flip red in 2022.

THEN: They zeroed in on this seat with misleading and divisive digital, TV, and radio attack ads.

NOW: They're trying to gerrymander this district to be more conservative, making it more of a toss-up – to clinch their victory in 2022.

Friend, I've dedicated my service in the House to making life better for everyday Americans. I do this in honor of my father and so many like him. But right now, with so much up against us, I'm counting on this team to make sure we can continue this progress – in 2022 and beyond. 

My team set a critical fundraising goal of $5 – and we just checked, and we're still $5 short. Falling short today could cost me the race – and it could cost keeping our House blue. Will you pitch in $5 or $25 by midnight tonight so we can meet our goal, defend this House seat, and keep fighting for progress, justice, and truth?
