U.S. News reported that Pennsylvania is home to one of the “four Governors races that could decide abortion’s future.”

John, if Roe v. Wade gets overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court this year, Governors in states like Pennsylvania will decide the future of abortion access in America.

That means that the winner of this election will determine how — or if — Pennsylvanians can access abortion. And the only thing standing in the way of Pennsylvania’s far-right Legislature dismantling a woman’s right to choose?

The Governor’s veto pen.

Pennsylvania Republicans have made it clear that the freedom to access abortion is one of their first targets if they win this Governor’s race. They’ve made it clear they want to see a Pennsylvania where “there is no right to an abortion or abortion funding.”

Just last month they introduced a constitutional amendment to severely limit abortion — the latest attempt in a long line of schemes to restrict our reproductive rights.
