John,
Factory farming is an unsustainable method of livestock production that concentrates large numbers of animals into confined spaces. In addition to fueling the climate crisis, factory farms release dangerous toxins into the air we breathe and the water we drink.
For decades, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and state governments have failed to regulate the environmental impacts of factory farms. With factory farms operating virtually unregulated, the environment and nearby communities pay the price.
Congress must act NOW to ensure the EPA has the authority to hold the factory farm industry accountable for its pollution. Take action today!

Under the Clean Air Act, the EPA has established powers to regulate climate-warming emissions from factory farms. But bad actors in Congress are using legislative tricks to keep the EPA from using its authority. Congress has also repeatedly prohibited the EPA from implementing its greenhouse gas reporting rule for livestock operations and manure management systems.
The environmental health impacts from factory farms, including toxic air emissions, disproportionately affect low income communities and communities of color. We can't continue to allow dangerous and destructive factory farms, entirely unchecked by the EPA, to pollute our air and warm the climate.
Urge Congress to prioritize mandatory reporting and regulation of air emissions from factory farms now!

According to the EPA, livestock are responsible for 25% of overall agricultural greenhouse gas emissions, and emissions from factory farms’ manure management systems are on the rise. But current amendments to appropriations bills promoted by Big Ag are tying the EPA’s hands and preventing it from addressing this disastrous pollution.
The climate crisis is too urgent to allow factory farms to escape regulation and tracking of pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. Congress must empower the EPA to monitor and regulate this polluting industry.
Join me in taking action to ensure the EPA can hold the factory farm industry accountable for its emissions. Send a message to your members of Congress today!
