I’m about to ask you to chip in just $5 to my campaign [[link removed]] . But first, let me explain why the stakes for this race are so high.

- Our Democratic House majority depends on Virginia. The road to maintaining the House majority runs straight through Virginia, but redistricting just made it a lot harder for me and my fellow Democrats to hold our seats.

- I’m a Frontline Democrat in a toss-up district. VA-02 is one of a handful of battleground districts that election analysts believe could go “either way” in November. Republicans brought in major fundraising hauls in 2021.

- House Republicans posted their 2021 fundraising haul at $140 million. Last cycle, national Republicans spent $3 million trying to unseat me, and we’re expecting them to spend even more this time around.

I’m counting on grassroots support to help get my message out to voters and give me the resources to compete with Republicans’ record-breaking fundraising. So please, if you’re able, will you chip in $5 to help me defend my seat today?
