Hi John,

My name is Brianna Twofoot, and I joined NIRH’s executive team a few months ago as the Chief Program Officer. In this role, I oversee our forward-looking work with our far-reaching network of partners around the country.

Before I came to NIRH, my work was centered around a mission for equity. At Leadership for Educational Equity, I focused on supporting leaders seeking to end educational inequity through community-centered organizing. Our network spanned 21 U.S. cities and worked with organizations on the ground to achieve policy wins that supported equity for students, including administering workshops for leaders at the state and local levels.

John, it’s not hard to see why I was drawn to the work happening here at NIRH. In the last decade, NIRH has partnered with organizations in 64 localities and 43 states to advance the goals of the reproductive health, rights, and justice movements. The work we do here is collaborative, and rooted in the belief we have in leadership at the community level. That’s what our partnership model is all about: forming strategic partnerships with all kinds of organizations to positively impact the people in their communities, and provide whatever hands-on support they need to achieve their goals.

In the coming weeks, you’ll be hearing more about our work around the country, and what there is to do in the year ahead to build our shared vision: a society in which everyone has the freedom and ability to control their reproductive and sexual lives.

Supporting partners to advance freedom and justice is what I love to do and do best. But to make this vision a reality, we need supporters like you – people who believe deeply in the values of reproductive freedom – to be part of the fight ahead.
