John, I’m going to be honest with you.
At the start of this race, we refused to take money from corporate PACs, registered lobbyists or individuals who are employed by a payday lender or firearm manufacturer. I then one-upped that by signing a pledge to refuse money from the fossil fuel industry. We chose to stick to our grassroots values instead of pandering to big corporate donors.
