Folks, I was getting a head start on some spring cleaning and found this old photo. It has me reflecting on how far we’ve come since my first race back in 2018.

It wasn’t an easy race by any means. We were up against a six-term Republican incumbent with an incredible amount of resources and support from the GOP. We were the underdogs.

But thanks to this incredible grassroots team, I became the first Democrat to win IL-06 in nearly half a century and we flipped the House blue.

Since then, I’ve been fighting for common-sense legislation to address the root causes of climate change, protect and expand the right to vote, and lower healthcare costs for all Americans.

And I’m not done fighting – there’s still so much work to do.

But Republicans only need to flip five seats to regain control of the House and reverse the progress we’ve made since 2018. And early polling suggests that Democrats are trailing behind Republicans by an average of four points in swing districts.

So, folks, I’m counting on you today – will you chip in $25 or more to my campaign to help me defend my seat from the Republicans who are hell-bent on taking back the House and dismantling our progress?
