Hi John,
Rodney Reed has been on death row in Texas for 20 years. In 1998, he was convicted of the murder of a 19-year-old woman which he maintains he did not commit. He is set to be executed next Wednesday, 20 November.
He was convicted on the basis of DNA evidence and the testimony of a forensic that was later withdrawn. Since then, several experts and witnesses have provided statements disputing the evidence. This casts serious doubt over Rodney’s conviction.
Will you write to the Governor of Texas and demand he call off the execution?
