Africa & Europe
Pray that parents in Uganda who abuse their children will stop and repent of their behavior, and for a change of heart for parents who choose to settle sexual violence cases out of court in exchange for economic gifts or bribes. Pray that communities would grow in their trust of the formal justice system so that more cases are reported, perpetrators face accountability and children are brought to safety from violence.
Latin America
Join the El Salvador team in praying as they seek new donors, sponsors and partners that will contribute to the goal of protecting the most vulnerable in El Salvador. Pray that the Lord opens the right doors, and closes all the others, so that the team can walk in confidence as they work towards a shared vision for the future.
South Asia
Please pray for IJM’s training sessions for government officials, social services and partner NGOs in the next few months. As part of our Justice System Strengthening programs, we provide specialized trainings with police, prosecutors, judges and local authorities on how to enforce the law against human trafficking and bonded labor. We also train aftercare partners and grassroots NGOs on how to support survivors after they are rescued. All of this will help us foster a safe and sustainable network of care to protect children, women and men from ongoing abuse. Pray for our team as they lead an increasing number of these trainings in the next few months.
Southeast Asia
Praise God for the hearts He is moving with the #NotOnOurScreens campaign! Our IJM Philippines team launched the campaign with TikTok during Safer Internet Day on February 8 in an effort to stir up community resolve against the online sexual exploitation of children. The videos have reached more than 426K views and the view count continues to climb. Pray that the Lord continues to use #NotOnOurScreens to draw awareness and build support for survivors.
