She is also a painstaking reporter who went through everything on the infamous Hunter Biden laptop to produce a remarkable book of straightforward reporting that is also spellbinding.

Devine, the daughter of legendary journalist Frank Devine, worked in Australia, London, and Boston before coming to the New York Post in 2019. She has since acquired a fanatical fan base. Former President Donald Trump was a member in good standing of the Miranda Fan Club. The man who replaced Donald Trump in the White House is significantly less fond of Devine.

While Hunter Biden and his father come across as fascinating subjects for psychological analysis in Laptop from Hell, the core of the book is the dizzying array of international business deals mentioned in Hunter Biden’s emails. All seem to revolve around Hunter’s father’s influence. In one email, Hunter bragged that Ye Jianming, a well-connected Chinese billionaire, was willing to guarantee Hunter $10 million a year “for introductions alone.” “Despite his debaucheries,” Devine writes, “Hunter was acutely aware of what he brought to the table: access to his powerful father.”

We know you will enjoy meeting a fearless and feisty reporter who is nevertheless good company.
