Issue 7

My fellow Republicans,

PRIORITY ONE

More is being done this year than ever before to guard the sanctity of our Primary Election. It all leads to an even more comprehensive effort next November. In addition to other groups doing this, the Party is using national, state, and local full-time employees to coordinate and conduct training and set up a war room for escalating any problems that arise. Poll Watcher is a volunteer position but there is still time to step up and join this effort.

There are still openings for paid election workers. Clerks need to attend training, and those who work as clerks now will gain the experience needed to be Presiding Judges in future elections.

PRIORITY TWO

In ten days the Primary will end, at 7 pm Tuesday, March 1. At 7:30, every Precinct in Bexar County can conduct a Primary Convention. Precinct Chairs are the default choice to start the meeting but in their absence, any voter can pick up the packet of materials at the polling place and conduct a convention. The location of your convention will be an Election Day polling place close to where you are registered. More details will come in next week’s edition, four days ahead of the conventions. This is the first step to the June State Convention – the largest political convention in the world, in Houston. Senate District conventions will be held Saturday, March 26.
