We need to keep the pressure on? ? ? ? Friend ? we came to you all last week at a critical time, with the Keystone Pipeline spilling more than 383,000 gallons of oil into wetlands in the midwest.

The company that operates the pipeline, TC Energy Corp (formerly TransCanada), is attempting to brush this under the rug and STILL expand the pipeline to new areas. Trump recently gave the expansion ? called Keystone XL? a green light. We have to stop that from happening ? and we need your help.

LCV members are turning out in record numbers to help fund our campaign to stop Keystone XL.

But we haven't heard from you yet. We're fighting to stop Keystone XL, and all of Trump's anti-environmental and pro-polluter policies, on multiple fronts ? but the window to block the expansion of the pipeline is closing.

URGENT: Donate today to keep the pressure on blocking the expanded Keystone Pipeline, and your contribution will be tripled. Even $5 makes a critical difference in this key fight ? [link removed]

Friend ? this isn't the only urgent environmental crisis we're up against right now. In the midst of the impeachment fight, the Trump administration is moving quickly to undo bedrock environmental protections. These are the campaigns we're working on as we speak: The EPA announced it will allow coal companies to leave toxic waste sitting in storage ponds, where it can leak into our groundwater. Chip in today to fight back ? [link removed] Trump just officially pulled out of the Paris Climate Agreement, a dangerous decision that will hurt our planet at home and abroad. Contribute now to make sure state and local governments stay in the agreement ? [link removed] 17 million acres of the Tongass National Forest are at risk of permanent destruction. Make a gift now to protect these public lands ? [link removed] What happens next is up to LCV members. We have a real shot at stopping Keystone XL. We CAN hold the EPA to its mission. We CAN hold ourselves to the promises of the Paris agreement, whether Trump likes it or not. But it will only happen if we continue our momentum to fund these critical campaigns, and only if we do it now.

We need your help to keep it up. The truth is, a campaign like this takes resources we just don't have right now. We need you more than ever. Thank you, as always, for sticking with us.

Sincerely,

Gene Karpinski
