In the latest display of the strong support for Marie among organized labor, the Communications Workers of America (Unified Council of Illinois) endorsed her this week for the IL-06 Democratic primary.
Marie's now gained support from over a dozen key unions, and it's easy to see why. Marie doesn’t just vote the right way when it comes to unions – she fights every day for workers and their families.
She regularly stands with union members in her district, and is a committed partner to organized labor in Congress. She was proud to pass an amendment to the PRO Act, which ultimately passed the House earlier this Congress, requiring notifications be posted of employees' rights to organize in their language within the workplace.
