Modernizing the Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute to Promote Value-Based Care Please join us Wednesday, December 11, as we unpack the recent proposed updates by the Department of Health and Human Services to the Physician Self-Referral Law, also known as the Stark Law, and the Anti-Kickback Statute to support value-based care. These two health care laws were created in the 1980’s to protect consumers and reduce costs in the fee-for-service system by banning physicians and other health care providers from referring patients if it benefited the provider financially. As our nation moves from a volume- to value-based health care system, modernizing these laws will be critical to supporting collaboration among health care providers and providing comprehensive patient care.
