[1]Cori Bush

John, did you
hear about Cori’s letter to President Joe Biden?

On Wednesday, Cori and Senator Cory Booker led a group of Democrats urging
Biden to address the “disparate and often inhumane treatment” of Black
migrants by our immigration enforcement system.

The unfortunate truth is that Black migrants are deported twice as often
and face inhumane, violent treatment at our border. We witnessed this last
fall after the Biden administration green-lighted mass deportations of
asylum-seeking Haitians despite the ongoing crisis in their country.

That’s why Cori is leading House Members in the call for the Biden
administration to review the disparate treatment of Black migrants and
reverse anti-Black policies like Title 42 expulsions. Title 42, which
allows the federal government to bar non-citizens entry into the US for
health reasons, was dusted off and put in place by the Trump
administration.

It is unacceptable for the Biden administration to continue to use this
policy. [ [link removed] ]That’s why it’s critical we show our support for Cori as she
advocates for its reversal: Will you chip in $5 or anything
you can right now to support our work to protect Black lives?

We came here to Congress to save Black lives and livelihoods, and that’s
what we’re going to do. So in honor of Black History Month, we want to
make it loud and clear that it’s time for action.

It’s time for reparations. It’s time to remove white supremacists from our
government. It’s time we address the health disparities Black mothers,
pregnant people, and children face. It’s time we end the cycle of police
violence and systemic racism that pervades our communities. It’s time to
address the disparate and inhumane treatment of Black migrants.

Cori is proud to lead this work toward this future — not only during Black
History Month — but every day of the year. [ [link removed] ]Will you chip
in $5 or anything you can today to support Cori as she
leads our movement to save and honor Black lives?

Together,

Team Cori
