# [#] John,
This week marked the four-year anniversary of the senseless killing of 17 students and faculty at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
This was a senseless act of violence, but it could have been prevented with common-sense gun regulations.
Last year I introduced a package of five different pieces of legislation to address gun violence, and just this week I introduced a 6th piece of legislation to strengthen gun background checks and close the loopholes in our current system.
John, will you join me in fighting for those who lost their lives four years ago? Sign on here to show your support for reducing gun violence: [[link removed]]

Our nation is in the midst of a gun epidemic that has taken too many loved ones and John, I’ve had enough.
These background check requirements are long overdue and we need to act immediately to end the gun violence that we know all too well.
I will not stop fighting until families can feel safe in their homes and children can feel safe in their schools. Join my fight by signing on now→ [[link removed]]
