Fellow Patriot:

The most important lesson Donald Trump taught conservatives was that we should play to win.
For decades, the Left was always the aggressor in America's policy battles - testing conservatives' resolve and pressing their advantages. Liberals were always on offense: pushing their economic socialism, their woke foolishness, and undermining America's sovereignty and rule
of law wherever they could. In a way, that's why Trump was so successful: he was a conservative who actually fought like a liberal.
Unfortunately, a year into Joe Biden's presidency, there are signs the lesson wasn't learned.
And that's why I hope you will help the Conservative Partnership expand its efforts to train, equip, and unite conservatives in the fight for America's future.
Some conservatives have stayed on offense - on Covid's origins, mask mandates, immigration, and Critical Race Theory. Grassroots activists, fearless conservative journalists, and a handful of lawmakers have kept the pressure on the Left like never before.
But the lazy, timid, corporate Beltway Establishment is already falling into its old habits. For instance, heading into 2022, senior Washington leaders recently announced their future policy goals:
▶︎ House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy laid out a stale, warmed-over checklist about business regulations and energy independence.
▶︎ Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said he would not lay out a potential governing agenda at all. Nothing. Not even their traditional mumbling about tax cuts or military spending.
Did they learn nothing from Donald Trump's electoral and policy breakthroughs? Do they think conservatives took over the Supreme Court, started the border wall, raised working Americans' wages, and confronted global aggression by playing not to lose?
Washington elites are acting like the entitled noblemen in the movie Braveheart. Do you remember the scene? William Wallace, fresh from his victory at the Battle of Stirling, tells the Scottish lords that he intends to invade England rather than negotiate with King Edward
Longshanks. As usual, the nobles - who care only about themselves - scoff at the idea. Then Wallace, on his way out the door, speaks for his army, his country, and all who suffer under pathetic leaders:
"You think the people of this country exist to provide you with possession. I think your possession exists to provide those people with freedom. And I go to make sure that they have it."
Who will be America's Braveheart today?
Who will have the courage not just to hope the Left's incompetence and unpopularity yields fancier offices and a bit more power - but the opportunity to break the woke, socialist, racist, anti-American Left once and for all? Who will help advance the new American Movement and
the political revolution it demands?
We are not fighting for a party, or a candidate, or any "team" of entitled, interchangeable elites in Congress.
Like William Wallace, we are fighting for our country. For our children. For our God-given right to freedom.
CPI was founded to inspire that kind of fighting spirit and to support those who have it.
We are holding up our end and you are holding up yours. Together, we need to fight so our leaders hearts' grow brave, too.
Thank you for partnering with us and continuing to do so much to secure America's future.

For Freedom,

Jim DeMintCPI Chairman
