Hi John,
In just a moment, I’m going to ask you to make your first donation to my campaign for Congress. But I hope you’ll give me the chance to explain why support from grassroots supporters like you is imperative to helping us win our race.
I am not a super wealthy individual. I don’t live in a gigantic house or drive an expensive car. I make an honest living working full time as a self-employed contractor while running for Congress.
In contrast, my opponent Scott Fitzgerald raised over $1.2 MILLION last year with the help of his network of corporate, special-interest donors.
This is why I need your help. Unlike our opponent, we don’t have a list of mega donors funneling cash into our campaign account. We’ve got something even better—a grassroots team powered by folks like you who pitch in what you can, when you can, because you believe in what we’re fighting for.
We’ve got a tough fight ahead of us, and I won’t sugarcoat it, we’re going to need a lot of resources to win this thing. But together, I know we can overcome Republican spending and continue making progress for our working families, one grassroots contribution at a time.
So, I’m humbly asking for you to make your first contribution to my campaign for Congress. In a race like this, every dollar makes a difference.

Since we launched this campaign, I’ve been so amazed by the outpouring of support from people across the state who are ready to join our fight for Wisconsin’s working families.
Thanks for your support, and thank you for pitching in today, if you can.
