John, Pennsylvania Senator Doug Mastriano was an active participant in trying to overturn the 2020 election. He crossed the police line in the January 6 insurrection, used campaign funds to bus supporters to the rally that ended in the violent overtaking of our nation’s Capitol building, and tried to send false electors to Washington to override Pennsylvanians’ votes.
Now, the U.S. House of Representatives has subpoenaed him for attempting to interfere with the peaceful transfer of power that our democracy is built on.
It is unbelievable that someone with such blatant disregard for our democratic values is running to be the governor of our great Commonwealth, let alone serving in our state Senate, John.
Our state Senate is packed with Republican obstructionists who think they’re above the rules, and that’s why I’m running for lieutenant governor.
The lieutenant governor presides over our Senate, working in tandem with the governor to produce results and policies that Pennsylvanians want. Republicans like Mastriano who are more focused on overturning your vote and drowning out your voice, are not going to fight for your best interest in Harrisburg, John.
We need fewer leaders like Doug who think they're above the law, which is why I’m fighting to fix Pennsylvania’s broken politics. Pennsylvanians want good schools, affordable health care, reproductive freedom, and so much more.
