john,

There’s a lot of good news about our economy, but the issue of inflation is significant, and it’s something Americans are feeling and seeing every day.

As a member of the Senate Banking Committee, I’m working nonstop with my Democratic colleagues to understand the complexities of what’s causing inflation, and proposing solutions to bring down costs.

But this week, not a single Republican on the Committee showed up to vote to confirm any nominees to the Federal Reserve, stalling progress and stifling the most qualified body in our government to deal with market forces and drive down inflation.

I’ve gotta say — watching my Republican colleagues orate on the floor of the Senate about inflation is hard to take seriously when they don’t even show up for Committee votes.

I’m fed up with Senate Republicans’ games. Minnesotans have worked too hard to see their paychecks not go as far because Republicans refuse doing their jobs to score cheap political points.

If you’re with me, add your name to tell Senate Republicans to drop the theatrics, show up to work, and vote on the slate of Federal Reserve nominees so we can get to work solving the problems that hard working Americans are facing right now.

I hear it all the time back home from folks: the American people just want Democrats and Republicans to get along and focus on the problems that impact daily life.

I’m ready to work across the aisle to tackle higher prices and ensure that working families see the benefits of the economic recovery. I just hope my Republican colleagues feel the same way.

Thank you,

Tina
