As you know, David Schweikert’s campaign recently agreed to pay a $125,000 fine to the Federal Election Commission for violating campaign finance law. What you might not realize, however, is that he can use campaign donations to pay the fine.
If David Schweikert won't even respect his own donors, you can bet that working Arizonans aren't faring much better...
Schweikert is trying to sweep his campaign finance violation under the rug, claiming it was a mere "bookkeeping issue." Here's the problem with that rationale... either he's straight-up lying or he's such an incompetent leader that a $125,000 accounting error fell through the cracks. Either way, the constituents of AZ-01 are NOT getting the representation they deserve.
We desperately need to restore trust between Congressmembers and the constituents they represent. And the only way to do that is to elect leaders who will have a honest, pragmatic approach in Congress to help Arizonans move forward.
