Thanks to the passage of the American Rescue Plan, enrollment for healthcare insurance is on track to hit a record high this season!
Since the passage of this law, we’ve seen enormous improvements to our healthcare system — from expanding health insurance subsidies to enrolling more Americans than ever before. During this open enrollment period, a record 15.5 million Americans have enrolled. Additionally, low-income Hoosiers will begin to see their premiums eliminated.
This is not a coincidence, this is the result of Democratic leadership.
I am proud to have supported the American Rescue Plan, which has done more to lower costs and expand access to health care than any legislation since the Affordable Care Act. As a result, millions of Americans now have access to quality and affordable health insurance.
I'm proud to have supported this landmark legislation to help improve our nation’s health care system. But the American Rescue Plan is only a step forward, and more work remains to increase access to affordable health care options for everyone.
