There are now 13 candidates running for a chance to become the GOP nominee for governor, and they’re continuing to show how extreme they are.
These candidates have failed to offer Michiganders clear plans to improve our infrastructure, keep our economic recovery strong, and fight for working families.
Here’s a recap of what a few of our extreme opponents have been up to lately:
- The newest candidate and self-funding millionaire Perry Johnson put $1.5 million behind an ad blitz to promote misleading attacks and boost his name recognition in the crowded primary.
- James Craig went out of his way to oppose each and every one of the major solutions outlined in Governor Whitmer’s latest budget to keep Michigan working families first – including proposals to support educators, kids, and parents with investments in education.
- Garrett Soldano doubled down on his dangerous anti-choice comments saying women who are raped should be forced to give birth because “God put them in this moment.”
John, we have a clear choice here. Gretchen Whitmer has boosted Michigan’s economy, put children and families first, and cut costs for hardworking Michiganders, and we need to double down today to show we’re ready to win this race.
