Hi John,

Sometimes just the right person comes along at just the right time.

For States United, that person is the incomparable Clai Lasher-Sommers.

Up until today, Clai has been the executive director of our grassroots state affiliate, GunSense Vermont.

Tomorrow, though, Clai is formally joining States United as our permanent Executive Director.

Over the last few years we’ve been enthusiastically watching Clai lead the charge in Vermont to pass common sense laws to protect communities from gun violence, including expanding background checks and an Extreme Risk Protection Order bill.

We’re thrilled that Clai will now be parlaying her depth of experience and many skills into bolstering and amplifying the work of all our affiliates.

Please join me in giving Clai a warm welcome!
