Shortly after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, Francis Fukuyama wrote a widely popular book, The End of History and the Last Man, proclaiming that history is linear, and evolutionary, and that humanity has reached “not just … the passing of a particular period of post-war history, but the end of history as such: That is, the end-point of mankind’s ideological evolution and the universalization of Western liberal democracy as the final form of human government.”

We would love to have believed that man has evolved to his highest state, and that history is evolutionary and linear, leading man to truly understand and appreciate the magnificent gift of the liberal world order, and embrace it with the United States standing at its helm. However, with 150,000 troops along the border of Ukraine, it is unfortunately and conspicuously clear that history is not linear.

The “Inquiry” has formally issued a “call for submissions.” ([link removed](Y_COPY_01)&mc_cid=90621f1cb6&mc_eid=UNIQID) It states: “The Commission invites individuals, groups and organizations to submit information and documentation relevant to its mandate."

Jewish and non-Jewish experts, NGOs, other organizations, parliamentarians or legislators – who care about defeating modern global antisemitism embodied in this UN Commission of Inquiry – need to proffer submissions. Literally every human on earth is eligible to make a submission.

By making a submission to this rigged exercise, will we legitimize it? The answer is emphatically NO, the greater the number of individuals and organizations who act.

Submissions are not about changing their minds, but about educating those who remain open to learning the truth about the Jewish state and the Jewish people. About exposing antisemitism and calling it out as such. About urging others to stand with the people of Israel and to object to the perversion of law and the falsification of right and wrong by the United Nations – for the sake of real human rights victims, now and in the future.

Ambassador Ettinger earned his B.A. at the University of Texas, El Paso, and his Masters in International Management at UCLA and writes and publishes frequently in every major Israeli outlet and is a frequent guest on Israeli radio and television shows.
