Today is Give to the Max Day!
Dear John,
Happy Give to the Max Day! Today is Minnesota’s giving holiday, the day where we ask our supporters to dig deep for the Boundary Waters. The Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters needs to raise $200,000 by the end of the day — will you help?
Make a gift today and your dollars will be doubled, up to $70,000, courtesy of a generous match provided by a number of anonymous donors, as well as Dale Howey, Fred Graver, and Sarah Kacer in honor of Rose Langsdorf.
The Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters is leading the effort to safeguard this special place from dangerous proposed copper mining. Here’s just a small glimpse of everything that the Campaign is doing to protect the Boundary Waters:
- Monthly trips to Washington, D.C. to meet with partners, elected officials, and agency representatives.
- Challenging the Trump Administration’s interpretation of the mineral leases in court.
- Nationwide education and brand awareness through events like Wild Waters and the Minnesota State Fair.
- Supporting additional programs such as Kids for the Boundary Waters, which has taken over 110 youth to Washington D.C. since June of 2018.
- Working with the experts to compile comprehensive scientific and economic reporting on the impacts of sulfide-ore copper mining to the region ...and more!
All of these activities require funding, and we’re so grateful to the 472 donors who donated $42,844 during the pre-giving period from November 1 to 13. Will you join them and help us reach our $200,000 goal?
Thanks for being part of the movement.
