The Motion division of Genuine Parts had fourth-quarter profit of $154 million, up 15.3% from a year ago, on sales of $1.61 billion, a 12.8% increase. Genuine Parts as a whole increased fourth-quarter sales and net profit while also posting a profit for the full year.
NOW Inc. earned $12 million in the fourth quarter after a $44 million loss in the year-ago period, with revenue of $432 million, a 35.4% increase. For the full year, the company earned $5 million, reversing a $427 million loss loss a year ago, on revenue of $1.63 billion, a 0.8% increase.
Ace Hardware reported $2.1 billion in fourth-quarter revenue and $8.6 billion in full-year revenue, both up from a year earlier. "In comparison to 2019, total revenue increased 38.6% and net income is up 129.8%," said President and CEO John Venhuizen.
